Pakistan Navy, one of the three premier armed forces of Pakistan, has officially announced a large-scale recruitment drive for Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in 2026. Available Branches & Eligibility Criteria
Pakistan Navy is recruiting officers across 10 major branches with multiple specializations in each. Below is a detailed breakdown:
1. Operations Branch
The Operations Branch is the backbone of Pakistan Navy's combat and maritime superiority. Three distinct specializations are available:
a) Marines / SSG(N) — Male Candidates
- Education: HSSC (FSc) / A-Level / Equivalent with Physics & Mathematics (minimum 60% marks)
- Graduation: 16 years of education or above with at least 60% marks or 2.25 CGPA from an HEC-recognized university
- Age Limit: Up to 26 years (candidates up to 24 years may be preferred)
- Rank on Induction: Acting Sub-Lieutenant (Ag S/Lt)
b) Aviation — Male Candidates
- Education: HSSC (FSc) / A-Level / Equivalent (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 65% aggregate marks
- Graduation: 16 years of education with Physics & Mathematics, minimum 60% marks or 2.5 CGPA
- Special Note: Preference given to candidates with aviation background, robotics/drone flying experience, or basic flying training from a reputed institute. A Flying Aptitude Test is a mandatory prerequisite. Officers who drop out from basic flying training will be released from service.

c) Operations (General) — Male Candidates
- Education: HSSC (FSc) / A-Level / Equivalent with Physics & Mathematics (minimum 60% marks)

- Age Limit: Up to 26 years (24 years preferred)

2. Mechanical Engineering Branch
a) Surface — Male
- BE / BS / BSc (Mechanical Engineering), 16 years of education, minimum 60% marks or 2.5 CGPA

- Age: 23–31 years | Rank: Ag Lt

8. Naval Law Branch — Male Candidates
- LLB / LLM / PhD / Bar at Law
- Member of the Bar with at least two years of practice in courts
- Minimum 50% marks or equivalent

9. Information Technology Branch — Male & Female
Qualification Options:
- Bachelor's (BS): Minimum 16 years of education with 2.5 CGPA in: AI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information/Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Data Science

Ineligibility Criteria
The following candidates are NOT eligible to apply:
- Rejected by ISSB / GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Board under disqualifying conditions
- Twice rejected by ISSB for Postgraduate Entry
- Twice screened out by ISSB
- Tested within 120 days of previous ISSB appearance (unless waiver granted)
- Dismissed / Removed / Debarred from Government Services including Armed Forces
- Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense
- Permanently declared Unfit by Appeal / Medical Board (PUF by AMB)
- Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C
- Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds
- Withdrawn/discharged/resigned from any Armed Forces Officers Academy/Training Institution
- Candidates found tampering with academic certificates, forgery, or concealment will be permanently ineligible for all types of commission in the Armed Forces
Important Note for Female Candidates: Married female candidates must provide an undertaking stating they will not be in a family way at the time of joining and during training.
