The Tourism Archaeology and Museums Department (TAM Department), operating under the Government of the Punjab, Pakistan, is one of the most culturally significant public sector institutions in the country. Its primary mandate encompasses the promotion of tourism, preservation of archaeological heritage, and management of museums and cultural sites across the province of Punjab.
Punjab is home to some of the most historically rich and archaeologically significant sites in South Asia, including ancient cities, Mughal-era monuments, colonial-era structures, and a vast network of museums. The TAM Department plays a crucial role in not only preserving these national treasures but also in developing tourism as an economic driver for the province.
In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the TAM Department recognizes the need to integrate modern Information Technology and multimedia solutions into its operations to better serve tourists, researchers, students, and the general public. To this end, the department has launched an important initiative under the Annual Development Program (ADP) Scheme titled:
"Establishment of Business Development Cell & IT Strengthening of TAM Department"
Under this ADP Scheme, the TAM Department seeks qualified, experienced, and dedicated individuals who are domicile holders of Punjab to serve in the Tourism Department, Punjab on a contract basis / project pay scale. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to harnessing the power of technology and digital media to modernize and strengthen the tourism and heritage sector.

Position 1: IT Expert

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Sciences or an IT-related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.
This position demands a highly educated and technically proficient individual who can lead the IT strengthening initiatives of the TAM Department. Given the nature of the work, candidates with advanced degrees and strong research backgrounds in IT will be prioritized.

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold:
The combination of a strong academic background in Mass Communications with practical skills in Graphic Designing makes this a unique and specialized role. 1. Project-Based Contract Positions:
The advertised posts are purely project-based and are offered on a contract basis under the ADP Scheme. These are not permanent government positions.
2. Non-Transferable and Non-Pensionable:
The contract appointment is temporary in nature and is non-transferable and job/post specific. It is non-pensionable and confers no right to regularization. The contract appointment may be extended up to the project period with the approval of the competent authority.
3. Project Period Adjustments:
In case the project period is reduced or enhanced, the contract appointment order may be amended accordingly with the approval of the competent authority.
